The Visiting Scholar and Postdoc Affairs Program has joined the Vice Chancellor for Equity and Inclusion, Vice Provost for the Faculty, and the Dean of the Graduate School in offering a new set of resources for your academic development. The campus has purchased an institutional membership in the “National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity” which will have access to resources of general interest for prospective faculty members, including help with how to write effectively, get your work published, manage your time, and prepare your courses. The Center also offers resources that may be of particular interest to postdocs in underrepresented groups (including women in many fields). Opportunities to start new classes or workshops occur throughout the year. If you are already a member with the Center, you do not need to subscribe individually anymore since we now have an institutional membership. For more information, please view this summary PDF.
If you are interested in having a membership activated, please go to the UC Berkeley NCFDD website here.
