The UC Berkeley Spouses, Partners & Parents Association (BSPPA) is a VSPA program dedicated to supporting our postdoc and visiting researcher families. We help spouses, partners, and families navigate the UC Berkeley experience and build a vibrant community together. The BSPPA community is open to all VSPA affiliates and all kinds of families, including those with and without children.
What We Do
BSPPA serves our diverse VSPA spouse and partner community by providing an inviting, supportive environment through a variety of activities, including:
- Social Events & Meet-ups: Casual gatherings on campus or in Berkeley and off-campus excursions to explore the Bay Area.
- Professional Growth: Informational meetings and career development opportunities.
- Family Support: Fun activities for postdocs, visiting scholars, and visiting student researchers with children.
