Faculty Sponsor Responsibilities of International Scholars
Please be aware that, as the faculty sponsor of a Visiting Scholar or Visiting Student Researcher, you are personally responsible for compliance with 22 CFR 62.10(e). This federal code regulation requires sponsors to monitor their participants' physical location (site of activity), research progress, and general welfare.
By sponsoring an international visitor, you assume direct responsibility for ensuring their activities remain consistent with the category indicated on their DS-2019 and for providing sufficient guidance to facilitate the successful completion of their exchange program.
