National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW)
National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW) is an annual celebration designed to recognize the significant contributions postdoctoral scholars make to U.S. research and discovery. Institutions from across the globe participate by holding special events, and the VSPA is pleased to celebrate UC Berkeley postdocs this year from September 14-21, 2024.
Faculty Supervisors of Postdocs: During the week of NPAW, be sure to participate in our #ShoutOutYourPostdoc campaign on your social media platforms as another way to recognize your postdoc on this special occasion. For more information on this campaign, please click here.
NPAW 2024 events include:
Saturday, 9/14, 7:30 PM - Cal Football Game: San Diego State vs UC Berkeley (limited spots)
Monday, 9/16, 10 AM - 12 PM - Postdocs, We Love You a Latte (coffee social) and a Professional Photography Session
Wednesday, 9/18, 4 PM - 7 PM - PostdocFest (dinner & awards presentation) and a Professional Photography Session
Thursday, 9/19, 12 PM - 1:30 PM - Careers After Your Cal Postdoc: UC Berkeley Postdoc Alumni Career Panel - Virtual
Friday, 9/20 - 10:30 AM - 12 PM Special Guest Speaker Leadership Session (TBD) - Virtual
Saturday, 9/21, 1 PM - Cal Women's Volleyball Game: UC Los Angeles vs UC Berkeley (limited spots)
