Every year, over a hundred institutions across the country and internationally celebrate National Postdoc Appreciation Week in September to let postdoctoral scholars know that they are loved not just a little but a ‘latte’!
On Monday, September 19, 2022, the Visiting Scholars and Postdoc Affairs (VSPA) office organized a coffee and pastries morning called ‘Postdocs, We Love You a Latte’ at the Alumni House Patio. Postdocs and their faculty supervisors had lively discussions over delicious breakfast and a cup of Joe. Associate Vice Chancellor for Research, Dr. Linda Rugg joined in on the conversations and learned more about the amazing research Berkeley postdocs are conducting across campus.
Apart from enjoying food and good company, those in attendance also participated in a raffle to win Berkeley swag prizes and had the opportunity to ham it up for professional headshots courtesy of the VSPA.
