About the Project
We are a well-funded hardware startup developing next-generation 3D display tech. We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer to own the fabrication pipeline from prototyping to final integration.
The Role (0-to-100 Ownership)
As the Lead Process Engineer, you will be the sole owner of the optical fabrication process. You will take theoretical CAD models of micro-optical arrays and turn them into polymer sheets bonded to glass substrates.

Nanoimprint Fabrication (NIL) - Materials Engineering - Mold Management - Surface Chemistry - Metrology & QA
Required Qualifications
MS, PhD, Post-Doc in Materials Science & Engineering, or a closely related field. Experience with photopolymers, photoresists, and UV curing systems. Experience with fabricating micro-structures.
Preferred Qualifications
Local Facility Access: Active or recently active user status at the UC Berkeley Marvell NanoLab or LBNL Molecular Foundry.
Display/Optics Background: General understanding of spatial light modulation, index-matching, and waveguide/display optics.
