Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSC) Fellowships offer an exceptional opportunity to pursue post-doctoral fellowships at institutions across the European Union. The next submission deadline is September 9, and it is important to identify host mentors and institutions well in advance and work collaboratively to develop the proposal.
This year, UC Berkeley is initiating a pilot partnership with Maynooth University in Ireland to support the development of MSC fellowship applications. Maynooth is one of the campuses of the National University of Ireland with research strengths across multiple disciplines. Their core research areas are described here - see below for more guidance on identifying faculty interests.
This partnership is aimed at:
-
Berkeley graduate students who will have received their PhD by Sept. 9, 2026, and current postdocs interested in MSC fellowships hosted at Maynooth,
-
Berkeley faculty who would be interested in being matched with potential applicants from Maynooth.
For potential applicants and mentors, please register your interest via this link on the partnership page by Monday, May 4.
We will work with Maynooth to help match applicants and mentors, and the Maynooth research office will provide online workshops to support proposal development, and invite selected Berkeley applicants to visit Maynooth to finalize the proposals before the September deadline.
