Visiting Scholar and Postdoc Affairs (VSPA) is the central UC Berkeley unit for administrative guidance, support, and resources for postdoc scholars and the visiting researcher community.
Supporting thousands of scholars and students each year, the VSPA plans, implements, and evaluates training, professional development, and wellness initiatives that add value to the UC Berkeley research experience.
Established in 1994, the VSPA is one of the first postdoc offices in the nation, and the first within the University of California.
