The following are campus-wide resource that are available to support you and family during your time at UC Berkeley.
Be Well at Work
Be Well at Work programs are designed to improve employee health and well-being, and include services related to ergonomics, wellness, and work/life balance. Visit the link above for details about all programs. Be Well at Work includes:
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Employee Assistance provides no cost confidential counseling and referral for UC Berkeley faculty, staff, visiting scholars, and postdocs.

Be Well at Work has collected a list of community mental health resources at low cost or on a sliding scale for all. See other Community Resources available that include addiction, anxiety, domestic violence, families and so much more.
The Food Pantry
The Food Pantry is an emergency food relief supply for the UC Berkeley community. The pantry offers items such as rice, pasta, milk, cereal, freezer items, and fresh produce. Campus community members are welcome to take as much as needed whenever needed, while being mindful that it is a shared community resource for emergencies. There are no eligibility requirements and all you need is your Cal ID. International scholars and students should review information on Public Charge before accessing these resources.
PATH to Care
The PATH to Care Center has confidential advocates that provide affirming, empowering, free, support to those impacted by sexual violence, sexual harassment, stalking and intimate partner violence. The center also offers training and resources to prevent, intervene in, and respond to harassment and violence.
Ombuds Office for Students & Postdoctoral Appointees
If you wish assistance sorting through a campus-related conflict or concern, the Ombuds Office is available to assist. The Ombuds staff will listen to your concerns, serve as a sounding board, discuss your options with you, and help you get a new perspective, and determine the next steps to take.
The office is strictly confidential and no one will know you have spoken with them unless you wish them to. The only exception to this confidentiality is where there appears to be imminent risk of serious harm or danger.

Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination
The university has a dedicated office to assist those with concerns or who may have experienced harassment and discrimination on campus. Please visit their website for how to report harassment or discrimination and find related policies and resources.

Trans Resource Hub
This hub provides comprehensive information on education, advocacy, and community spaces centering and supporting Trans and Nonbinary communities.
Recreational Sports Facility (RSF)
As a VSPA affiliate, you will have access to many of UC Berkeley’s world-class fitness and recreational resources by purchasing a membership at the UC Berkeley employee discount rate. Some of the amenities include five outdoor swimming pools, weight training machines, cardiovascular equipment, aerobics, and fitness classes, plus courts for tennis, racquetball, squash, handball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and even massage therapy.
WorkFit
Take advantage of the WorkFit program and choose from over 40 professionally led classes available on Zoom every week. WorkFit offers a diverse schedule from Yoga to Simple Strong to Zumba. These classes are free to the public and easy to access. Join WorkFit for a fun, effective workout with instructors who are eager to be a part of your fitness journey.
